Driver Backuper is a driver back-up solution for Windows. This application has a free version which you can download. I hate to be harsh, but it does not let you do anything. I don't get why somebody would release a free application that can't do anything. The only thing that the free version does is list all the hardware devices that are presently installed on your computer. Each device has two icons beside its name. One allows you to backup the device driver and the other one provides information. But every time you click on any of those buttons, you get a screen asking you to insert your registration key or telling you to register. On the right there are two more buttons: Update Drivers and Backup drivers. Of course, those two also give you the dreaded registration screen. In theory, it seems like a great idea to be able to backup all the drivers on a system to a folder for backup purposes. And even saving drivers individually could have its benefits. But since the "trial" application of Driver Backuper doesn't let you do anything with it, you can't really "try" the application and see the way it performs, so I would suggest that you find another solution that can be tested before buying; just to be safe. |
